Scoring East Fifth Bliss

Daniel is in the midst of scoring East Fifth Bliss, the new indie comedy starring Michael C. Hall (Dexter, Six Feet Under), Lucy Liu (Kill Bill, Charlie's Angels), Peter Fonda (Easy Rider) and Brie Larson (United States of Tara). Scoring is scheduled to be completed by the end of August. Alcheh & Hunt score United Way's 2010 campaign

Composers Daniel Alcheh and Elliot Hunt illuminate United Way's mission with an evocative musical score. Shot on location throughout the Chicago metro area, the spot features the famed voice over artist, Pete Stacker. The beautiful, long-format B&W piece was unveiled last week at United Way's yearly gala. Watch it HERE.

3 CBS UK channels rebranded by KeyChain Music

KeyChain Music has completed all sound and music rebranding of three new CBS channels on the UK broadcast network ChelloZone. The channels are CBS Action, CBS Drama and CBS Reality.

Svetlana to air on HDnet

The first six episodes of Svetlana, the new HDnet comedy series from UK Stage Award winner and Drama Desk nominee Iris Bahr (DAI), will be complete by October.

Daniel to score East Fifth Bliss

The comedy, directed by Michael Knowles, stars Michael C. Hall (Six Feet Under, Dexter) and other familiar faces. Shooting will begin in October on New York's lower east side. Hall will play a 35-year-old whose static life comically unravels when he embarks on an awkward relationship with the 18-year-old daughter of a former high school classmate. Knowles adapted the script with Douglas Light from Light's novel of the same title, which received the 2007 Benjamin Franklin Award for Fiction.

Scoring After Lilly

Recording and mixing of the score to the short film After Lilly is complete. The film, based on a story by novelist Douglas Light, was directed by Michael Knowles and shot in NYC on the RED camera and stars Michael Mosley (The Proposal). The score features The Lyris Quartet. New PBS Travel Show Opening

The opening sequence to the successful PBS travel show, Passport To Adventure, is being revamped, and Daniel is providing the new score. The show will air this summer with new episodes and a fresh look.

New Feature Documentary Score

Daniel joins score composer Deddy Tzur to complete Houston, We Have A Problem, from director Nicole Torre. The feature documentary presents an insider view of energy from the Texas oil fields. It describes the struggle to feed America's ferocious oil appetite, and why Houston believes we must go "green" for a secure domestic energy future. Score production was done at KeyChain Music.

Soundtrack CD Completed

Matthew Roth's horror comedy is in the final stages of post production. The score, featuring The Lyris Quartet and other brilliant performers, is complete and being mastered. Click HERE to listen to the cue "Last Food Convention."

Daniel is completing an ambient multimedia scoring project. Cubicle Flood, from Idle Time Software creator Cathy Davies, is a unique "Disaster Visualization Software" for Mac or Windows.

Daniel to score new horror comedy feature

Scoring the action thriller Nowhere To Hide

Wrapping up the year with Warner Brothers

We were hard at work writing and recording for one of Warner Brothers' libraries. The session players were magnificent and the results couldn't have made us happier this holiday season. American Dream is an official selection in the 11th Cine Las Americas International Film Festival. The full feature screenplay is almost complete and production is scheduled for this year.

We were just notifed that Leave You In Me, directed by Dutch Doscher, is heading for the Los Angeles shorts film festival "Show Off Your Shorts." We are nominated for Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Actress! Check it out at www.soysfilmfest.com.

American Dream - Now out in festivals!

After its debut in the Santa Fe Film Festival, American Dream, directed by James Bustamante, written by Raquel Troyce and produced by Michael L. Miller, hits the Sedona International Film Festival and the White Sands International Film Festival, then heads for The Cleveland International Film Festival and the Sacramento International Film Festival. Daniel is adding a few last touches to the score. New Mexico seems to be bustling with film action! Check out the New Mexico Filmmakers Intensive at the College of Santa Fe.

Largo for String Orchestra

A large piece for string orchestra, Largo For Strings, is scheduled to be completed by the end of December. Orchestras interested in performing the 12-minute work will be able to receive the score and parts from the composer or the publisher.

Daniel to score a new comic short

The short film John Doe, written by the brilliant film-making duo of Douglas McIntosh and Jordan Maltby, will be scored in the next few weeks. And no, we can't tell you what it is about...but stay tuned for the deleted scenes.

The short film Harlem Moon, directed by Darralynn Hutson-Bryant, is based on the story A Good Job Done by Langson Hughes. Shooting will begin this month in NYC.

Argo wins more festival honors

The short film Argo, from directors Jordan Bayne and Michael Knowles, was voted "Best Short In Town" by the audience at last week's Tacoma Film Festival and given two more special screenings. ARGO is gearing up for more festivals and screenings.

Two films scores near completion

Leave You in Me, a film from director Dutch Doscher, will be completed in October. Next, Daniel is gearing up to complete the long-awaited documentary from Pacific Street Films about NY painter Alfred Levit, a film that was shot for almost a decade.

Argo premieres at the Napa Sonoma Wine Country Film Festival

Argo, a film by Jordan Bayne and Michael Knowles and staring Jordana Spiro and Marcus Chait, will receive it's world premiere at the Napa Sonoma Wine Country Film Festival. Daniel was responsible for the sound design and mix. August 12th, 8:45 pm at the First Congregational Church, Sonoma, California.

After completing work on The Madness of Henry VIII, Daniel is set to begin contributing additional score to another National Geographic Channel epic docudrama about Napoleon Bonaparte.

BET's Music Makers series have commenced negotiations on the international distribution and broadcast of the first eight episodes. The show will air in Japan, New Zealand and Poland--more countries to come

Daniel starts contributing additional music score to a 17-hour epic series about The American Revolution, and its significance as the first real world war.

PBS Political Documentary announced

Daniel is co-scoring the upcoming PBS doc, Granny D Goes to Washington. The film tells the inspiring story of 90-year-old "Granny D" Haddock, a political activist who walked across the United States for one full year in her incredible, and ultimately victorious, fight for campaign finance reform.
